General Home Inspection Procedure.

Booking the Inspection

To book an inspection, contact us for a quote and arrange for a time to meet that is suitable for all parties involved.

Accepting the Contract

The inspector will then send you a confirmation email with links to an online Contract Agreement and the InterNachi Standards of Practice which outline the terms of the inspection. You should read the Agreement and Standards of Practice. To confirm the booking, you accept the terms of the contract by signing the Contract and sending it back to SureWorx Inspection Services Inc. Home inspections cannot take place without a contract agreement.

Attending the Inspection

When the day arrives, the inspector will meet you at the home and explain what the procedure will be. A typical visual home inspection takes about three to four hours.

Ensure all pets are not a nuisance to the inspector. Turn on your water, power and gas and any heating appliance pilot lights. The Inspector does not turn on pilot lights.

After the Inspection

At the end of the inspection, the inspector will summarize any major findings and answer your questions. You will then be asked to make a payment. We accept Interac, E-transfers, cash, and all major credit cards (Visa, MC, Amex, Discover).

Obtaining the Report

Generally, within 24 hours after completing the inspection, the home inspector will send you an email containing a link to your written report detailing the condition of the home. The report then belongs to you and you may forward it to anyone you wish.

Please contact us if you have any questions about the report or home.
